The Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore and Saint John in Lateran, the Ancient Appian Way and the Catacombs.

Every afternoon except March 25th, Christmas, New Year and Easter. Approx. 3 hours

The tour starts from the Esquilino Hill. Here our guide will show you the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore. Continuing by coach to stop at the holy Staircase, the Lateran Palace and the Basilica of San Giovanni with visit inside. Along the Ancient Appian Way you will see the Chapel of “Domine Quo Vadis”. Arriving to the Catacombes of San Callisto the ancient underground cemeteries and first hiding places for the Christians. Then also visiting Santa Domitilla or San Sebastian depending upon seasonal conditions. At the end of the tour along the way back to the hotel we will pass close to the Baths of Emperor Caracalla. Return nearby the hotel.
